Foreword

Starting from March 1, 2024, the JACSM journal will suspend its publication until a new editorial board will take over its management.

We thank the members of the editorial team, the reviewers and all the collaborators who made possible the uninterrupted publication of the journal for 17 years.

However, the journal remains open for accessing the papers already published.

The Journal of Applied Computer Science & Mathematics (former Journal of Applied Computer Science until 2009) was founded in order to enable young researchers in the field of Computer science and Mathematics to publish their scientific findings. This specific category of researchers is confronted with certain limitations, as publishing in international journals is often difficult, particularly due to the publishing fees.

The Journal of Applied Computer Science & Mathematics mainly encourages applicative research findings in Computer Science and Mathematics, but also accepts fundamental research papers for publishing.

The Journal adheres to the BOAI definition of open access: users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles.

Ever since its inception, the journal has benefitted from the support of prestigious researchers in the field of Computer Science and Mathematics from Europe, the United States and Asia. At present, the journal engages an impressive number of volunteer reviewers from all over the world, who cover most of the topics the journal focuses on:

With each published issue, we strive to enhance the quality of the accepted papers, by the consistent employment of the peer review system and through the rigorous selection of the reviewers. The acceptance rate curently ranges between 70 and 80%.
